A Walk Around York: Chapter House Street

After leaving Dean’s Park and the Minster Library. We strolled down the cobbled Street of Minster Yard and wandered past the Treasurer’s House.

Turning left into Chapter House Street and we reach our 1/4 Mile mark. This street was once a main route to the north east area of the City.

As we follow Chapter house street though to Olgleforth we walked past Gray’s Court, this was once part of the Treasurer’s House but it is now used by the St John College. Here’s a sketch of Olgleforth from the book.

The archway in the picture there leads  though to Gray’s Court which is also a really nice venue that you can rent out for event’s. Here’s my photo of Olgeforth today.
